Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential clients within target industries and markets. Develop and implement strategies for finding new business opportunities and expanding the sales pipeline.
- Own and manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals. Conduct product demos, presentations, and negotiations with potential customers.
- Establish strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients. Act as a trusted advisor, providing solutions that address clients' needs and goals.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and revenue goals. Accurately forecast sales performance and provide regular updates on pipeline status to leadership.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with business goals. Provide feedback to product and development teams based on customer insights to help improve offerings.
- Maintain detailed records of all sales activities, client interactions, and deal progress in the company’s CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions. Use this knowledge to position products effectively and tailor sales pitches to meet market demands.
- Lead negotiations with clients to ensure favorable terms while maintaining profitability. Work with internal stakeholders to finalize contracts and ensure they meet both company and client requirements.
- Ensure a smooth handoff of new customers to the customer success and onboarding teams. Provide context and insights to help new clients transition into the company’s products or services successfully.
- Constantly refine and improve sales techniques, staying up-to-date on the latest sales methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is often preferred. Relevant experience may substitute formal education in some cases.
- Proven track record of 2-5 years in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments.
- Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation tactics, and closing strategies. Ability to present complex solutions clearly and persuasively to clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present compelling product demonstrations. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools to manage and track sales activities.
- In-depth knowledge of the relevant industry or market, understanding customer pain points, and competition. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new industries or markets if needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to provide solutions to client needs. Ability to handle objections and work through challenging negotiations to secure deals.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prospects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Ability to work under pressure and stay motivated in a high-paced, quota-driven environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, client demands, or internal processes.
