Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and close new business opportunities to generate revenue and establish early market presence.
- Develop and manage a healthy pipeline by qualifying leads, nurturing prospects, and ensuring consistent follow-up.
- Take charge of the entire sales process—from lead generation and discovery to demos, negotiation, and closing.
- Create and continuously improve scalable sales strategies, tools, and workflows that align with company goals.
- Work directly with the founding team to align sales strategy with product development, go-to-market plans, and company vision.
- Gather insights from prospects and customers to influence product features, positioning, and messaging.
- Act as a trusted advisor to new customers, ensuring smooth onboarding and long-term satisfaction to maximize retention and referrals.
- Be the face of the company in early customer interactions, building credibility and trust in a new brand.
- Consistently meet or exceed quotas to support company growth and validate product-market fit.
- Help define the company’s sales culture and best practices, eventually mentoring and onboarding future sales hires.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in a startup, SaaS, or tech environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the entire sales process—from prospecting and demos to negotiation and closing deals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey value clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage pipelines, track activity, and report progress.
- Comfortable discussing technical products and working closely with engineering or product teams.
- Strong focus on understanding and solving customer pain points, with a commitment to delivering value.
- Familiarity with the challenges and dynamics of working in a startup, including wearing multiple hats.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and KPIs.
- Formal education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
