Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement the overall sales strategy. Identify target markets, create go-to-market strategies, and help define value propositions for prospects.
- Actively seek out and engage new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and cold outreach.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients. Understand client needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Meet or exceed sales targets by driving revenue growth through new and existing client accounts.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer pain points, and opportunities for expansion.
- Lead contract negotiations with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Draft proposals and manage contract execution to close deals efficiently.
- Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts and deliver on customer needs.
- Help design, implement, and optimize the sales processes, including CRM management, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
- As an early sales hire, set a high standard for future team members and contribute to shaping the company’s sales culture.
- Track and report on key sales metrics, such as lead conversion rates, sales cycle length, and revenue growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to build brand awareness and credibility.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
- 3-5 years of proven success in a sales or account executive role, particularly in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Familiarity with the industry the company operates in, including market trends and customer needs.
- Strong understanding of sales strategies, pipeline management, and negotiation techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for managing leads and tracking performance.
- Strong problem-solving ability to address client needs and handle objections.
- Highly self-motivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads, clients, and tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts.
