Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to achieve individual and team goals. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance assessments to ensure continuous growth and improvement. Set clear objectives and performance metrics for SDRs, ensuring alignment with overall sales strategies.
- Oversee the creation and management of a consistent, high-quality sales pipeline. Collaborate with marketing to develop lead generation campaigns and ensure timely follow-up on inbound leads.
- Analyze and optimize the SDR team's workflows and outreach methods, leveraging data to improve efficiency and conversion rates. Implement best practices and sales techniques, ensuring the team is equipped with the latest sales tools and strategies.
- Work closely with Account Executives and the sales team to ensure smooth transitions of qualified leads and maintain alignment between SDR and sales goals.
- Track and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) such as outreach, conversion rates, and pipeline growth. Regularly present performance insights to senior leadership, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market shifts to adjust lead generation strategies accordingly. Research potential clients and develop targeted prospecting strategies based on insights into market needs.
- Develop and manage sales enablement materials, such as scripts, templates, and playbooks, ensuring the SDR team is fully prepared for outreach efforts. Train the team on new tools, platforms, and automation technologies to drive better results and improve efficiencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, ensuring a seamless experience from initial contact to qualification for further sales conversations. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive brand image throughout the sales process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in sales development, business development, or a similar role, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- Experience leading or mentoring a team of SDRs, with a track record of meeting or exceeding team sales goals.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- In-depth understanding of the sales development process, including outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement in SDR performance.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and train team members on effective communication strategies.
- Ability to conduct in-depth market research, understand target markets, and develop prospecting strategies tailored to industry trends and client needs.
- Knowledge of sales automation tools, AI-driven technologies, and systems that enhance sales efficiency and lead conversion.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a growth mindset and openness to change.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory based on experience).
- A passion for learning and development, with a desire to grow into more senior sales leadership roles.
