Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential customers through outbound efforts such as cold calling, emailing, and social outreach.
- Engage with prospects to understand their business needs, pain points, and decision-making process to determine if they’re a good fit.
- Consistently build a healthy pipeline of qualified leads to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Lead initial meetings to learn more about the client’s goals and challenges, and position the product/service effectively.
- Present product demos and sales presentations that address specific customer needs and show clear value.
- Address client concerns, answer questions, and manage objections to keep the deal moving forward.
- Work closely with marketing, sales development, and customer success teams to ensure smooth hand-offs and cohesive messaging.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, prospect interactions, and deal progress in a CRM system.
- Consistently hit or exceed individual performance metrics, including calls, meetings booked, and revenue targets.
- Keep up with industry trends, competitor offerings, and company updates to stay relevant and sharp in conversations with prospects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1–3 years of outbound sales or business development experience, preferably in SaaS, tech, or B2B environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to cold call and cold email effectively and consistently.
- Comfortable working with sales tools such as CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outreach platforms.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt messaging based on customer needs and product offerings.
- Team player with a collaborative attitude and willingness to receive and act on feedback.
- Basic understanding of the sales cycle, prospecting techniques, and customer personas.
