Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential clients through various channels such as cold calls, emails, social media, and inbound lead follow-ups.
- Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure they meet the company’s ideal customer profile, moving them forward in the sales pipeline.
- Initiate outreach campaigns to engage new prospects and generate interest in the company’s products or services.
- Set up meetings or product demos for Account Executives or senior sales team members with qualified leads.
- Maintain accurate records of lead information and interactions within the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), ensuring data integrity and timely follow-ups.
- Work closely with both sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on lead quality and outreach strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients by providing them with relevant information and solutions until they are ready for the sales team.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and potential new markets to identify opportunities for growth.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity goals such as calls, emails, meetings set, and qualified opportunities generated.
- Engage in regular product and sales training to improve understanding of the offerings and the market.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is typically required, though some entry-level roles may accept less.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with potential clients.
- Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and familiar with sales tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email marketing platforms, or dialer systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain attention to detail, especially in managing sales pipelines.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding targets, whether in sales, customer service, or other performance-based environments.
- High level of self-discipline and initiative, with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a positive attitude toward problem-solving and facing challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, especially sales and marketing teams, to achieve shared goals.
- Capable of researching market trends, analyzing customer needs, and using insights to generate leads.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging prospects, articulating value propositions, and maintaining professional correspondence.
- Proven ability to identify, research, and engage potential clients through various channels such as cold calls, emails, and social media.
- Previous experience in sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles where conversion and relationship-building were key. Experience working with sales targets and quotas is a plus.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. SDRs must juggle multiple leads, follow-ups, and meetings, ensuring none are missed.
- Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho to track leads and maintain accurate records of communication.
- Demonstrated success in executing cold calls and cold email outreach to generate leads, initiate conversations, and schedule meetings with decision-makers.
- Exceptional active listening skills to understand customer pain points and provide appropriate solutions, addressing objections with confidence.
- Comfortable using sales and marketing automation tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and analytics platforms to streamline outreach and lead management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Account Executives, marketing teams, and other internal stakeholders to maximize sales effectiveness and ensure seamless lead handover.
- A strong ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing sales environment, maintaining motivation and perseverance in the face of challenges and rejections.
- Experience conducting research on target markets, competitors, and trends to better understand potential client needs and opportunities.
- Ability to effectively influence and persuade prospects to take interest in the company’s product or service offerings, using persuasive techniques to move them through the sales pipeline.
