Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals and revenue targets.
- Manage, mentor, and grow the sales organization—setting clear expectations, KPIs, and career development paths.
- Establish quarterly and annual sales targets and drive the team to achieve or exceed them.
- Analyze data to produce accurate sales forecasts and provide reports to executive leadership.
- Implement systems, tools, and workflows that support scaling and improve sales efficiency.
- Work closely with marketing teams to align on lead generation, campaign goals, and messaging.
- Identify new markets, partnerships, and opportunities to expand customer acquisition channels.
- Develop relationships with high-value clients and participate in complex negotiations or strategic deals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adapt strategy.
- Act as the voice of the sales department in leadership meetings, contributing to cross-functional decisions and company growth planning.
Qualifications:
- 8–10+ years in sales, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets and scaling sales teams in high-growth environments.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and mentor large sales teams, often across different regions or verticals.
- Skilled at crafting and executing long-term sales strategies aligned with business goals.
- Proficiency in sales forecasting, analytics, pipeline management, and using CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and external client engagement.
- Deep understanding of the company’s industry, including competitors, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
- Experience leading complex, high-stakes negotiations with enterprise clients or key accounts.
- Ability to work closely with marketing, product, and finance teams, and influence C-level stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred or a plus in many cases).
